The snow leopard is an animal with a beautiful coat, and people may wonder why it is endangered. Well, it is endangered because of its beautiful coat. Poachers, (who are people that hunt animals for their skin, or something that is popular of that animal and take it then leave them to die), hunt the snow leopard for its beautiful fur. Have you ever seen a person with a snow leopard jacket on? Well, that's either fake fur, or it's poached snow leopard fur.
Survival
The snow leopard is endangered. Only about 4,000 snow leopards are left in the wild. The numbers of snow leopard's are dwindling. It's important to try and save the snow leopard because of this.
Conservation
To stop the numbers of snow leopards dwindling, we are stopping illegal trade for snow leopard parts. Some ways of conservation are to adopt a snow leopard, where you get a certificate, a picture of your snow leopard, stuffed animal, and you get to name the snow leopard. You can also donate money to a snow leopard charity, where they help protect snow leopards.
A website you can donate, or adopt a snow leopard is on the resource page. It shows which website this is.
